Where it all began—December 1995. I was six years old when I captured this moment with a Kodak film camera. Snow had fallen in the Christmas season, and in my pure excitement, I rushed to grab the camera, climbed over the end of my bed, and forced open the window latch to take the shot.
When the photos were developed, I’ll never forget my mum’s shock—not because I had taken the picture, but because I had managed to reach the window on my own, safety catch off and all.
Over the years, people have often asked me: What got you into photography? Why did you choose it as a hobby? A profession?
Honestly... I didn’t choose photography. It chose me.
